Understanding order statuses in Ordexs

Last updated: August 9, 2026

The main journey

  • Pending — a new order, not yet confirmed with the customer.
  • Confirmed — you've verified the order (by phone, WhatsApp, or otherwise) and it's ready to ship.
  • Sent — handed off to the courier.
  • Delivered — the courier confirms the parcel reached the customer.

Statuses that need your attention

These show up when a confirmation call didn't go as planned:

  • Attempt 1 / Attempt 2 / Attempt 3 — you tried to reach the customer and couldn't; each retry moves the count up.
  • Double — this looks like a duplicate of another order (same customer, similar items).
  • Waiting — parked for a reason that doesn't fit the other statuses, usually set manually.

Terminal statuses

  • Cancelled — the order was called off before shipping, set manually.
  • Returned — the courier reports the parcel came back (customer refused it, couldn't be reached, etc.).
  • Deleted — the courier no longer has this parcel at all (removed from their system). The order goes back to being editable, as if it was never shipped, so you can correct it and re-ship.

Who controls each status

Pending, Confirmed, Attempt 1–3, Double, Waiting, and Cancelled are set manually from the dashboard. Sent, Delivered, and Returned are courier-owned — once a courier picks up the order, its status follows what the courier reports and the manual picker locks until the shipment is cancelled or deleted.
